What is an 'Answer'?

The employer's formal response to your Complaint.

After we file the Complaint to start your lawsuit, the defendant (your former employer) is required to file a formal response with the court. This document is called the "Answer."

In the Answer, the employer will respond to each factual allegation we made in the Complaint, typically by either admitting or denying each statement. The Answer sets forth the employer's initial position in the lawsuit.
