What is an 'Objection'?

A formal protest against an improper question or request.

An "objection" is a formal statement made by an attorney during a deposition or hearing to protest a question they believe is improper under the rules of evidence or procedure.

If our attorney makes an objection while you are being questioned, you should stop talking immediately. We will then instruct you on whether you should answer the question or not. The only time you should not answer a question is when we specifically instruct you not to answer it.
